The pride of Park Rules: Rules

Protected Area Rules

All visitors to Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife protected areas must follow the general park rules, officially gazetted in Government Gazette No. 42967 of 2020, which apply to all parks managed by Ezemvelo. Because each park is unique, additional site-specific rules may also apply to help keep visitors safe and protect the natural and cultural heritage that makes these places special. These site-specific rules are issued through a Protected Area Notice and are displayed in key locations throughout the park, in terms of Regulation 6, read with Regulation 7, of the Regulations for the Proper Administration of Nature Reserves (Government Gazette Notice R.99 of 2012) under Section 86(1) of the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, No. 57 of 2003
