Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Welcomes Mr Sihle Mkhize

The Chairperson of the KwaZulu Natal Nature Conservation Board, Ms. Lydia Johnson has welcomed the secondment of Mr. Sihle Mkhize as the new Acting CEO. Today, 01 September 2022 the Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) MEC announced the appointment of Mr. Mkhize.

“ On behalf of the recently appointed Board, I wish to welcome Mr. Mkhize, and I am glad that he is not new to the organisation. It was during his tenure as the Acting EDTEA HoD that he immersed himself in Ezemvelo challenges. He worked well with the former Accounting Authority, Mr. S. Magagula.” Ms. Johnson said.

Mr. Mkhize is a seasoned administrator who has held various senior government officials. Before his secondment, Mr. Mkhize was the Deputy Director General: Sector Development & Business Governance.

Ms. Johnson further indicated that Mr. Mkhize will get all the support from the Board as well as Ezemvelo staff that he will need.

“ I also wish to express my appreciation to Mr. Ntsikelelo Dlulane who held the fort for over three years as an Acting CEO, a period which included a time that he had to be both the Acting CEO and an Accounting Authority. We are glad he is not leaving the organization and will still be available to provide advice when it is needed.” Ms. Johnson concluded.
