Notice of Environmental Authorisation (EIA NO. : 14/12/16/3/3/1/3124) granted for Staff Accommodation at Mpila Camp, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve


Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife’s proposal to construct the Mpila Camp Staff Accommodation within the Big Hlabisa Local Municipality has been authorised by the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment. In accordance with Chapter 2 of the National Appeal Regulations, 2025, as amended, which regulates the appeal process, should you wish to appeal any aspect of the decision, you must within 20 days of the date of notification of the decision, submit your appeal on the prescribed form and including supporting documents to the appeal administrator at DFFE.

PLEASE VIEWFULL NOTICEandAUTHORISATIONHEREProject DetailsThe Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife (EKZNW) propose to construct new staff accommodation blocks and septic tanks at the Mpila Camp, located within Ward 8 of the Big Five Hlabisa Local Municipality, uMkhanyakude District Municipality, KwaZuluNatal. Two of the new blocks are located outside of the existing Mpila Staff accommodation fence.
