Who We Are
Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife is committed to conserving the province's rich biodiversity while offering world-class ecotourism experiences. As custodians of protected areas, we ensure nature thrives for generations to come. The organisation's journey began with the preservation of the southern white rhino, a symbol of resilience and conservation success, and continues to inspire efforts to protect endangered species across the region.
The Board of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife is appointed by the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs. The Board provides strategic leadership and governance oversight, ensuring that the organisation fulfils its mandate to conserve biodiversity and manage protected areas across KwaZulu-Natal. Board members bring expertise spanning conservation science, public administration, finance, law, and community development.
